Take a look inside Ms. Doyle's Classroom:
Teaching and Learning in action
A few years ago, I was contacted by some producers from WETA, one of the top producing stations for public television based in Washington, D.C. The producers spent several days in my classroom filming me as I taught my students several reading strategies. The professional videos are now part of the very popular www.readingrockets.org website, a site devoted to helping parents, teachers and administrators support young children as they learn to read. To view these videos of me teaching my bright, curious, engaged (and engaging) second graders, first click on the links below. Once you are taken to the Reading Rockets website, scroll down until you see the video link and press play. While you are there, check out their website and learn more about how young children learn to read and how you can support them at home.
